The Print Punk

The world forgot its colors. Bring them back.

The world has gone gray. Armed with paint swords, crayon blasters, and your bare fists, team up with up to 3 friends to splash color back into every corner. Every swing leaves a rainbow. Every enemy you defeat is "saved" — turning colorful and scampering away. Fill the world with life, one level at a time.

What Makes It Fun

🎨

Instant Satisfaction

Every swing, crayon blast, and color punch leaves a mark of color on the world. Watch gray landscapes bloom into vibrant life.

🤝

Together Is Better

Up to 4 players painting together, reviving each other, and combining efforts to hit 100% before the clock runs out.

👶

Everyone Belongs

Simple controls a 4-year-old can pick up, with leveling and weapon switching that reward skilled play. "I'm a Kid" mode for the youngest players.

💜

No Violence, Just Joy

Enemies aren't destroyed — they're "saved." They turn colorful and scamper away. Family-friendly action that feels good.

Gameplay

Move, fight, paint. Complete levels by painting the world to 100% or saving 50 enemies before time runs out.

3 Weapons

  • Fists — Up-close melee brawling
  • Paint Sword — Melee attacks that paint the environment as you swing
  • Crayon Blaster — Ranged color projectiles for painting from a distance

Core Mechanics

  • ROYGBIV Color Cycling — Each attack uses the next color in the rainbow
  • Charged Sprint — Double-tap to dash, dealing massive damage and sending enemies flying
  • World Saturation — The environment dynamically shifts from gray to full color as you paint

3 Environments

  • San Diego Beach — Coastal shores with sand puffs and ocean waves
  • Desert Mountains — Parallax desert layers with cacti and scorpions
  • Grassy Fields — Lush meadows filled with poppies and sunshine

Built for Couch Co-Op

ROYGBIV is designed from the ground up for shared play. Grab controllers, sit on the couch, and paint the world together. All players contribute to the same paint percentage — teamwork isn't optional, it's the point.

  • ✓ 1–4 players local co-op
  • ✓ Online multiplayer (planned)
  • ✓ Revive downed teammates
  • ✓ End-of-level stats per player and team totals
  • ✓ Full controller and keyboard support

No Reading Required

Mechanics are taught through play and visual popups — no text-heavy tutorials.

Colorblind Friendly

Gameplay never requires distinguishing specific ROYGBIV colors to succeed.

Encouraging, Not Punishing

"You'll get 'em next time, tiger!" on game over. No shame, just encouragement.

A Coloring Book Comes to Life

The world starts as a pencil sketch — gray outlines, desaturated textures, monochrome skies. As you paint through combat, it transforms into a vibrant, saturated landscape. The visual arc of each level is the story: gray to glorious.

Art Style

Hand-drawn polygon sprites with thick outlines. No pixel art — feels like a living coloring book brought to life.

Characters & Enemies

Expressive cartoon characters with flower decorations. Enemies are stylized creatures — suns, crabs, scorpions, cacti, poppies — cute enough that saving them feels right.

Audio

Upbeat, beachy, adventurous music. All gameplay sound effects are procedurally generated in real time — whooshes, pops, chimes, and fanfares.

Vibe

Hawaiian shirts, paint swords, crayon blasters, and bowling-pin sounds on charged sprints. Joyful, whimsical, and unapologetically playful.
